Overview
Synopsis
This is a critical leadership role to lead the strategy, governance and reporting for sourcing & procurement. This will include the development of sustainable procurement strategies at a group level and leading the local supplier content programme. It also includes the collation and presentation of S&P scorecard metrics and alignment with the organisations OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures). It will also support S&P budget activities, manpower planning and develop all relevant spend analysis and performance reports, provide insights and trend analysis, presenting results to S&P senior leadership.
Accountabilities
• Leading a team of 5 Procurement &Strategy & Governance professionals
• Undertake Procurement performance analaysis (performance reporting mapped to the OGSM goals, including analysis of spend, savings & other benefits) , prepare and communicate results, metrics and improvement opportunities to senior leadership and other stakeholders
• Present spend analysis outcomes, including assessment of spend by categories, by procurement channels and for Local Content metrics
• Prepare and present accurate and timely management and performance information to enable organisation-wide assessment of procurement performance – including cycle times and efficiency metrics
• Manage liaison with Transformation office and CFC to confirm ‘single view’ of performance reporting
• Facilitate and manage the set up and use of Power BI for Category teams to use dashboard managemet
• Identify performance trends and issues across the full range of KPIs, participating in the analysis of root causes and the idenftifiction of improvement opportunities
• Prepare and update budget submissions and support manpower planning for the S&P team
Education & Experience
• Degree level qualification preferred
• Previous People management experience is essential
Leadership with internal/external audit process management – proven negotiation skills in a transferrable area is essential
Exensive experience in governance performance reporting
Experience in the management and development of procurement ERP systems
• Training and practice in structured performance improvement (Sigma/Lean/Agile) and awareness of data analysis and visualisation tools/techniques
• At least 7 years strategy & governance experience including Procurement Supply Chain
