Synopsis

The Programme Test Manager is responsible for governing and driving the testing and QA activities for PSS Programme of work which includes strategy to execution and overall reporting including managing testing & QA risks. The testing will predominantly be carried out by the vendor, whilst, the governance activities, framework and reporting will be managed by the Testing Services Programme Manager.  A key part of the role is formalising Test Strategy, reviewing, approving and tracking SI deliverables, interlocking test plans to ensure delivery of quality software applications. Key involvement on the programme for scheduling of testing, test strategy and plan reviews, ensuring QA of the Test Scenarios / Test Cases / Scripts, Performance test execution and analysis of performance test results. Establishment of Robust Defect Management Process and ccommunicating the test project status, resolving the test project issues, and ensuring effective test process improvement feedback.

 

Accountabilities

  • Define & Contribute to the PSS Test Strategy, Testing framework, Tools & Scripts in conjunction with the SI.
  • Serve as SPOC for all testing that will be conducted during PSS migration
  • Coordinate with SI test team and Internal Etihad Stakeholders to administer all processes & procedures to ensure compliance to all quality goals.
  • Govern the testing activities and conduct quality assurance on all testing artefacts with regular reporting of deliverables
  • Maintain knowledge of all ISO 900 Quality systems and process standards and provide training to staff for same and evaluate all procedures to ensure adherence to all guidelines.
  • Design PSS test methodology and ensure regular regression tests and validate the relevant test environments.
  • Manage all communication with business partners and senior management to achieve all project objectives and perform tests on same and manage multiple functional areas.
  • Perform end to end tests on all processes and design all program documents and as per resource requirements and administer all test activities for all phases.
  • Develop all test plans and perform troubleshoot on systems and analyse all test resources to resolve issues and manage all communication with senior management to achieve all objectives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree is mandatory
  • Strong background in Airline Domain and work experience with different Airlines and GDS.
  • Experience in governing and managing testing activities on PSS would be desirable.
  • Experience following the Scrum methodology & Knowledge of SAFE, Agile and DevOps methodology is desirable.
  • 12+ years of experience in managing testing services or on large programmes with focus on delivery.
  • Expertise, or experienced in Rational Products (Must), JIRA and open source Tools would be an advantage.
  • ISTQB Test Manager Certification would be advantage but ITQB foundation certification would be must.
  • Experience in the AMADEUS Products would be an advantage.
