Synopsis

This is a senior role within the Platforms& DevOps team responsible for creating and driving the products, services and roadmaps for the technology platform related value accelerator capabilities within DTI.The role holder will work closely and collaboratively with the value streams and the engineering teams within Technology & Architecture (including Software Engineering and Testing & QA) to ensure the Platforms & DevOps teams are engineering and delivering the technology platforms and value accelerating capabilities that will deliver the greatest value to the Group.  Furthermore, the role holder will ensure the technology platforms are engineered to deliver within the timelines and at a cost that can maximise value. The role holder will possess a broad and sound understanding of the Etihad Aviation Group business activities and foundational platform technology capabilities to ensure strategic alignment across the value delivery chain.
 

Accountabilities

-• Responsible for collaborating closely with the value streams to define the products, services and roadmaps for technology platform and DevOps value accelerator capabilities, such as Cloud, Integration, Continuous Delivery and Automation platforms. 
• Responsible for participating and contributing to the Programme Increment (PI) Planning exercises of the Platforms & DevOps teams and the other value streams to ensure Platforms and DevOps capabilities are aligned to the needs of the consuming value streams (and ultimately our guests).
• Manage and support the flow of work through the Platforms & DevOps Kanban and product backlogs to ensure incremental platform (and value) delivery flow through an aligned cadence across T&A and wider DTI teams.
• Establish a communications strategy for the Platforms & DevOps Community of Practice (CoP) of key messages and product updates through forums such as DTI Vernissage, Platforms & DevOps Intranet site, DTI Weekly News and CoP events to promote the capabilities (e.g. demo’s) and value delivered by the teams
• Form strategic collaborative partnerships with key technology and service providers as well as internal DTI teams (such as cost management) to ensure technology platform capabilities are procured, managed and maintained effectively, and to provide cost transparency and value maximisation
• Champion agile techniques, be a role model in these disciplines, leading by example and providing support to the wider Platforms & DevOps and engineering teams when required.
• Through feedback, adopt a continuous improvement and learning approach to ensure our capabilities are valued by our service consumers and remain in line with industry best practice.

Education & Experience

•    8+ years’ experience working as a Product Manager designing and launching high quality software products. Airline industry experience is beneficial 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent is mandatory
•    Certified Product Manager (CPM), Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPM) or equivalent is desirable
•    Demonstrated success in defining, delivering and launching complex products
•    Ability to conceptualise, manage, and prioritise multiple products 
•    Experience in making data-informed decisions (user testing, competitors and marketing analysis, defining metrics) and analytic tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics)
•    Customer and data obsessed, always learning and refining features to deliver maximum business impact
•    Experience in using design thinking tools, including personas, empathy maps, journey maps and story maps
•    Customer-centric mindset with experience of placing the customer at the centre of every decision
•    Deep experience in executing plans in a timely manner and strong problem-solving skills
•    Deep experience with Agile development methodologies including SAFe, Scrum and Lean Portfolio Management
•    Experience of working in a Scaled Agile environment, applying agile and/or scrum as a way of working to deliver technology products is essential
•    Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership and stakeholder management skills 
•    Goal driven leader with ability to manage high performing teams, motivating, mobilising and coaching employees to meet high standards
