Overview
Synopsis
The Manager Sustainability will be responsible for managing and overseeing the development and implementation of EAG Sustainability strategy. Manage the identification and visualization of data insights and descriptive analysis in Etihad’s operations division and manage cross-departmental data projects that contribute to a cost-efficient and optimal operation. Conduct deep-dive analysis covering all aspects of the operation and presented findings to relevant business units and assist in defining and implementing action plans to improve on operational KPIs.
Accountabilities
• Responsible for the development of a comprehensive internal environmental database covering both ground and flight operations.
• Responsible for the accuracy of environmental data collection, through data checking and internal verification mechanisms.
• Develop and implement appropriate measures to maximize efficiency and encourage waste management practices in accordance with the waste management strategy and its supporting action plans.
• Responsible for creation of new and upkeep of existing reports & dashboards with maintaining a repository of all reports under the remit of Sustainability.
• Conduct data exploration and wrangling of raw datasets and unstructured data using schema-on-read based data platforms.
• Prepare and present analysis outcomes to various business units in the operations division and collaborate closely with other analytical functions within the company.
• Manages communication channels internally and externally including external stakeholders in support and promotion of Etihad as a sustainable company.
• Responsible for the coordination of internal awareness programmes and forums
• Develop appropriate metrics to measure performance over time
• Provide expertise and support on environmental matters to the Head/ Senior Manager of Sustainability when required.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree Holder or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years aviation and environmental sustainability experience
• A good command of spoken and written English (and Arabic if possible)
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in aviation or analysis, preferable in airline industry with analytical and operations related focus
• Proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint; advanced skills in MS PowerBI (or similar); basic knowledge in SQL
