About This Role

We are seeking a Subcontracts Manager to join our Legal & Commercial Team. This role will be responsible for overseeing subcontract negotiations, contract execution, and supplier performance to ensure alignment with project objectives.

The role will play a critical part in managing relationships with both local and international suppliers while ensuring compliance with ASDEFCON contracting requirements and Australia Industry Capability (AIC) initiatives.

The role we are offering you

+ Lead negotiation and subcontract management, ensuring optimal terms and compliance with ASDEFCON requirements

+ Oversee performance monitoring and management of subcontractors to maintain quality and efficiency

+ Draft, guide and recommend actions to the Commercial and Program leads

+ Ensure effective AIC management, maximising opportunities for Australian industry participation

Our ideal candidate has:

+ Extensive experience in ASDEFCON contracting and procurement frameworks

+ Proven track record in subcontract management within a project environment

+ Expertise in supplier negotiations, management and contract execution

+ Technical understanding of procurement processes, subcontractor performance metrics and supply chain management

Location:

+ Homebush, NSW or Brisbane, QLD

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
