Overview
Synopsis
In this role, you are responsible to manage calibration of Revenue Management systems, research, and develop new statistical models for driving revenues, both incremental and quality. Responsible for implementation of new code releases of RM systems, and monitor the overall usage of the systems for effective usage. Recommend best practices of RM systems to users. Develop new algorithms or data models as proof of concepts applying Operations Research in areas of pricing, forecasting, and Optimization.
Accountabilities
- Drive innovation in Pricing & RM systems researching Operations research journals and models presented in industry conferences in collaboration with RM solution providers, PROS, Sabre, Infare, and other system integrators.
- Manage and maintain calibration of pricing models, forecasting, and optimization parameters in Revenue Management systems for better forecast accuracy and effective O&D controls.
- Provide performance feedback to markets teams with KPI reports and enhancing the KPIs to changing business needs. Devise and manage effective KPI metrics to monitor systems’ usage and take necessary steps to improve systems usability.
- Calibrate Partner Revenue Optimization tools to provide availability based on their true value contribution based on analysis of revenue retention and payout statistics to codeshare partners
- Research on ways to enhance inventory functionalities in areas of availability calculation, reduce revenue dilution by enhancing or developing new Revenue Integrity processes, and availability troubleshooting diagnostics.
- Manage user acceptance testing of new systems and upgrades of existing RM systems to ensure delivery of requirements as per the business needs without severity one or two defects. Prioritize and coordinate the delivery of bug fixes, enhancements, and new releases of RM systems.
- Drive automation in Pricing & RM systems by developing models to take automated actions or implementing machine learning techniques.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics or MBA
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Revenue Management systems or Operations Research or statistical modeling or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in the usage of statistical tools such as R, Python, Matlab, ADaMSoft, or other equivalent tools
- Machine Learning skills and experience in developing Linear Programming or Dynamic Programming models for optimization
