Synopsis

This role is an opportunity to be a part of Etihad Airways Group Digital Technology and Innovation department. The Salesforce Tech Lead, IT Manager role reports to the Senior Portfolio Manager and will be responsible for leading a team of salesforce developers. The Tech Lead will be responsible for code review, code quality and ensuring optimum performance of the Sales cloud application. This will involve solution design and development of integrations between Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other applications/systems such as Datawarehouse, JDE, custom applications, and other applications as needed. The Tech Lead will work closely with multiple stakeholders, including the business and will act as liaison between all teams by preparing and attending project status meetings and steering committees.

Accountabilities

  • Perform code review and ensure the code quality is aligned with the industry standard best practices, thereby ensuring high performance of the system.
  • Create and implement risk mitigation processes and support security & governance audits.
  • Analyze the UI components used in the Visual force pages & check for the availability of equivalent component in Lightning Design System (LDS) referring this
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Architecture including custom APEX, VisualForce, Lightning Components and workflow development
  • Manage offshore resources and provide technical specs/design and discuss solution approach to the developers
  • Responsible for maintaining the environment and release of functionality across (SIT, Pre-prod and PROD) and maintain this with best practices
  • Map functional requirements to Salesforce features and functionality, perform solution design in terms of config vs code and present the best technical and scalable option.
  • Design and develop integrations between Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other applications/systems such as Datawarehouse, JDE, custom applications, and other applications as needed.

Education & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in leading a team of developments in Salesforce platform (Sales cloud & community cloud)
  • Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Extensive experience of Solution design and implementation using sales clould and community clouds
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and development methodologies including development of test classes
  • Expert on data integration with Salesforce with demonstrated capabilities using REST/SOAP API, and ESB integration
  • Experience determining business and technical objectives to set appropriate expectations for stakeholders and teammates
  • Experience in version control and release management tools (e.g GIT, Jenkins)
  • Experience with development tools such as JIRA
  • Setting vision and standards for the development and integration of the Salesforce.com solution
  • Salesforce certifications preferred:
  • Certified Technical Architect
  • Certified System Architect
  • Certified Application Architect
