Overview
Synopsis
To be the subject matter expert carrying the techno-functional knowledge in ERP (SAP) and other finance applications. Continuously review, improve and implement best practices, maximize utilization of SAP ERP application in compliance with internationally recognized accounting standards and incorporating adequate internal controls.
Accountabilities
• Finance SAP SME; will act to provide Finance a view on EPR functionality, capability and best practice
• Will be the technical bridge between Finance and IT during major ERP projects. Ideally will have proven track record of managing major implementation projects including S/4 Hana
• Work with stakeholders to complete process reviews and provide recommendations on how to eliminate waste and improve operating performance. Ideally familiar with Lead/Agile methodologies.
• Will recommend and lead initiatives to automate using complimentary technologies such as RPA, AI/ML
• Govern access to finance applications and sensitive information and conduct periodic reviews
• Work alongside DTI and internal Finance teams to support the prioritization of SAP CR enhancements in order to maximize long term ROI; the will include reviewing and challenging external time and cost estimates
• Act as a business super-user across a variety of system platforms to implement rapid change requests which may not require a full DTI review
Education & Experience
• Professional Finance in accounting (CA / ACCA / CPA / CFA)
• SAP Finance related technical accreditations
• 10 years of experience in process architecture and delivering enterprise solutions for Finance
