We are looking for an experienced individual to implement and monitor Jetstar Asia’s safety management, accident prevention and flight safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. 


Key responsibilities



  • Develop and improve the established safety reporting system which provides for a timely and free flow of safety-related information;

  • Provide timely information on flight safety matters to Head of Safety for resolution;

  • Ensure that all employees are familiar with the Safety Management System (SMS) and ensure that the SMS manual is maintained and updated timely;

  • Maintain the air safety occurrence reporting database and manage the Flight Data Analysis Program (FDAP);

  • Co-ordinate with Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Transport Safety Investigation Bureau and ensure compliance with the Mandatory Occurrence Reporting requirements;

  • Process and analyse flight data information from the Flight Management System;

  • Develop and maintain a safety awareness programme;

  • Acting as secretary to the Monthly Safety Committee, Group Airline Safety Committee and Board Safety Committee, arranging its meetings and keeping records of such meetings;

  • Disseminate flight safety-related information company-wide;

  • Assist with the investigation of accidents;

  • Perform regular safety audits and inspections including Cabin Crew Safety Audit;

  • Evaluate and maintain the adequacy of the company’s Emergency Response Plan (ERP), resilience management and crisis management systems;

  • Conduct periodic awareness training on the emergency response plan to the corporate staff

To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:



  • Tertiary qualification preferred or equipped with equivalent experience in aviation safety matters

  • International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) or the recognised equivalent qualification in Safety Management System

  • At least 10 years of extensive aviation experience in operations and safety related matters

  • Application of ICAO and CAAS requirements to maintain Airline Operator Certificate

  • Experience in safety and risk management systems

  • Personal resilience and confidence

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail

  • Possess high-level of judgement

  • Ability to influence outcomes and build effective working relationships

  • Commitment to delivery of Company’s safety and service standards
