We are looking for an experienced and effective Project Manager with a Civil Engineering background to manage high profile Etihad projects – locally and internationally within the Etihad group. In this role you will lead the delivery of long term technical projects/programs to ensure objectives are met according to plan, schedule, and budget to meet business objectives

Accountabilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop business cases to support the cost / benefits evaluation of proposed projects to ensure its feasibility.
  • Lead the development of large project proposals and solution plans according to internal methodologies to ensure the feasibility of the initiatives
  • Create, monitor and update program work plans to ensure requirements are managed and projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Communicate to the project sponsor / business leads to ensure delivery of key messages to relevant stakeholders for effective decision making.
  • Analyse and review change requests to ensure impact on timelines and budget is properly evaluated
  • Report on key milestones and issues to senior stakeholders to ensure critical areas are addressed on time and in the best manner
  • Manage all operational issues to ensure resolution in an effective and timely manner.
  • Lead program monitoring activities to ensure major risks and issues are highlighted and managed on a timely and efficient manner
  • Contribute to developing / improving policies, standards, core processes principles, to ensure continuous development of Project Management methodologies
  • Participate in the development of Etihad’s Project Management framework and handbook to provide continuous update and alignment to best in class methodologies
  • Manage the training plan of large teams of PMO specialists to contribute to the development of internal PMO teams

    • Education & Experience

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum Bachelor Degree or anything above (i.e. Bachelor Degree / Master degree)
    • Project management qualification (e.g. PMP, APM, or PMI membership) or proven knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile Project Management) is preferred
    • Minimum of 6 years civil engineering experience in relevant field of which 3 years in a managerial position
