Overview
Synopsis
To manage and set controls on the technical assets across for all the fleet in order to provide inventory integrity, part’s availability and SLAs to Technical’s operations in the most cost-effective manner over the asset’s lifecycle.
To lead and guide a team of inventory analysts to set up controls for all aspects of asset management, such as operations support, investment analysis, surplus management and inventory oversight is maintained and organized across the team.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for management of assigned inventory including inventory mapping and classification and management through aligning the procedures and demonstrate the control on spend based on the division’s strategy (asset-light vs. asset-heavy).
- Ensures the strategy of “Make or Buy” is effectively implemented through classifying the assets vs. the type of support required (PBH, lease, owning, etc.) to ensure highest performance vs. minimal lifecycle investment.
- Responsible for the budgets, costs of component & inventory management and ensure adequate tracking of it.
- Ensure to plan for managing spares to support Lease return fleet requirement and modification standards spares including inventory optimization and minimum spend with planned inventory reduction at same set service levels.
- Responsible for the optimum float level setting for components and inventory performance, such as SLAs, stock turn, surplus management etc. and ensure Reorder Levels are aligned to meet set service levels.
- Assist SMTAM to develop and maintain up to date the departmental manuals (TPMs & Technical’s Asset Management Policy) to ensure compliance with regulators’ and organizational requirements.
- Develop, establish and manage relationship with key strategic partners such as aircraft manufacturers, OEMs component pool providers, repair vendors and spare parts suppliers to ensure the asset management strategy is effectively implemented and operations are supported.
- Lead and develop a team of inventory analysts and ensure internal talents are developed by means of coaching, mentoring and exposure to new subjects and projects.
- Responsible for establishing KPI for team which will achieve department’s goal and ensure the optimum inventory is maintained.
- Ensure to support any projects assigned by SMTAM to achieve department goal.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification or experience (min. 10 years)
- Experience & tracked record in supply chain/inventory management, Provisioning, contract management and/or supplier management functions.
- Expert level knowledge of technical manuals like IPC, ITM and MPD and familiar with OEM support contracts like SSC and PSAA along with lease return requirements.
- Strategic & tactical thinking, analytical mind and cost management experience are required.
- Strong business acumen and effective relationship builder.
- People’s focused person with ability to lead, organise and guide operational teams and set a high performing team culture.
