Synopsis
The role focuses on Managing a medium sized team, responsible for the Payments and Bank Reconciliations process for Etihad suppliers. The role will involve working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and avoid operational risks.
Accountabilities
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a medium sized team to ensure operational excellence in delivery of Accounts Payable related Payments and Bank reconciliation activities.
• Accountable for of all Payments and Bank reconciliation related accounting processes, ensuring books are up-to date and show accurate position.
• Escalation point for internal and external stakeholders. Must be comfortable working under time pressure to resolve queries and issues, to prevent late payment fees/operational issues.
• Responsible for maintaining strict process controls and working through external/internal audit points relating to Payments and Bank Reconciliation sub-team.
• Role will require strong communication between the internal business teams, Accounts Payable and Finance Masterdata teams to deliver requirements.
• Ownership over all training and development needs for the team, including supporting in creation of development plans, succession planning process and management of underperformers.
• Responsible for working with the Snr Management to deliver long term objectives i.e. minimising payment turnaround times and reconciliation exceptions via process and system improvements
Education & Experience
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Finance related Bachelor’s Degree as a minimum / Finance qualification highly preferable
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience within relevant field.
