Overview
Synopsis
To develop, implement, monitor, and communicate revenue management strategies on a route basis which optimize network revenue contribution. Cascade these strategies along with general route revenue performance across the business in relevant forums. Lead network and route driven reviews to ensure the correct emphasis is provided for route revenue contribution focusing on constraint routes and peak demand periods. Establish monitoring processes to highlight changes in route performance and deliver forums to share and create corrective action plans. Manage the Revenue Management relationship with Cargo Network Planning for RM input to capacity changes as well as proactively highlight opportunities for revenue development from flight/route/schedule/capacity changes. Lead the transformation of Etihad Cargo Revenue Management.
Accountabilities
- Network Revenue Performance: Devise and implement KPIs for shipment contribution and route revenue contribution based on O&D Revenue Management organization. Develop, communicate and continually manage processes which evaluate the validity of allotments, entry conditions and pricing conditions, and how these optimize revenue. Create and manage forums with relevant stake holders which review and communicate performance KPIs to the business based on route revenue contribution. Build strategies for management and monitoring of network revenue performance of Codeshare and Alliance partners. Continually and proactively assess demand forecasts on a route basis and manage the communication with Commercial Planning and Sales to search for opportunities and amendments.
- Route Management: Manage the review of outbound values in Business Cases created by Cargo Network Planning for structural and seasonal changes to the Etihad network. Establish and maintain processes within Revenue Management to ensure revenue assumptions are accurately formulated, accepted and approved by RM. Negotiate and challenge any Cargo Network Planning alternative assumptions. Proactively build revenue assumptions for RM driven network opportunities and consult with Network Planning for options. Manage the implementation within RM, of any network changes made and ensure all necessary actions are taken to achieve revenue assumptions
- Cargo Revenue Management Transformation: Lead transformation initiative to increase overall steer of contribution at shipment level. Design workflows and processes and lead formulation of IT requirements for these improvements. Manage Change within the team and the broader cargo division.
Education & Experience
- Educated to university degree level in an Economics, Business, Statistics or other numerate discipline or an equivalent experience in Inventory / Revenue Management.
- • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the ariline industry, 5 years of which should have been in Cargo Revenue Management.
