Synopsis

Etihad are embarking on a programme of work under the PSS programme to replace their business critical reservation and passenger handling applications, radically changing the source of business critical data for analytics. As such, Etihad are looking for a Data and Integration Solution Architect that can drive the design for integration and exploitation of data sourced from these PSS applications with the Enterprise Data Platform, following the Data Product paradigm.

Working with aligned business stakeholders and internal and external development teams, they will ensure the alignment of solution designs conforming to regulatory demands, architectural standards, business requirements, budgets and IT strategy.

Accountabilities

  1. Work within the Enterprise Data Management team to bring about the necessary application change. Must take initiative and a lead role on all aspects of the analysis and solution design, by working closely with the business and IT stakeholders, PSS supplier and Solution Architecture teams. Must be able to effectively communicate with and advise peers and stakeholders.
  2. Ensure complete coverage of the passenger servicing and order data landscape for retention activity, developing solutions for each identified application, balancing risk with technical feasibility to provide optimum compliance.
  3. Develop and maintain solutions/designs in accordance with Etihad architecture standards and principles.
  4. Designing and developing data models at all levels in structured tooling, from subject area models to reporting solution-specific datamarts.

Education & Experience

  • Knowledge Database and big data technologies, Data streaming, ETL, file and event/messaging integrations
  • Solution architecture and technology expertise with a minimum of 8 years of experience in complex IT architecture environments
  • Airline industry experience necessary
  • Experience in seeking the alignment of business and IT, driving common approaches, delivering sustainable, re-usable solutions using both agile and waterfall
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in or familiarity of sales transactions, product master, and customer (CRM) data and analytics domains
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree is desirable
