Fleet Accounts Project Manager in GAC Savannah
Prior Project management, negotiation and customer relationship management experience is a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master’s Degree preferred. 5 years experience in aircraft design, manufacturing, manufacturing support or service & support. 3 years project management experience consisting of any combination of supervisory experience, project management and/or technical experience.
Creates and manages project plans for elements of major fleet aircraft programs. In a lead capacity, plans, develops, coordinates and directs a cross-functional team for assigned program elements. Plan, organize and manage company resources to meet program cost/schedule milestones targets. Responsibilities include management of project schedules, cost/benefit analysis, development, negotiation, tracking, product support, quality, reliability issues & activities and logistic support (when applicable).
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Fully responsible for planning and conducting important segments of fleet programs with extensive and diversified requirements 2. Establishes project work scope, task descriptions, including master scheduling that meets program objectives and commitments. 3. Determines practicality of the overall project in regard to function suitability, availability of manpower, equipment and materials, resources, cost, and ability to be produced. 4. Anticipates problems with assigned projects (technical, budget, schedule) and takes appropriate action to prevent their occurrence. 5. Assigns tasks to functional personnel and provides the necessary project guidance to meet schedules and fulfill requirements. 6. Keeps program director informed of project accomplishments and major problem areas as well as budget and schedule status. 7. Provides project leadership for the project team. 8. Assists the program director in preparation of proposals.
Additional Functions: 1. Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements. 2. Maintains a current knowledge to technical developments that are relevant to the industry. 3. Support customer program reviews to insure program deliverables, schedules & budgets are met. Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements: 1. Experience in executing customer projects preferred. 2. Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Project type planning software. 3. Training and/or experience using project planning software applications, such as MS Project or other related software. 4. Requires a working knowledge of Gulfstream aircraft systems operations/functions; customer service support requirements. .
