Synopsis

This role reports to the Finance Product Owner and is responsible to provide the required knowledge and expertise of revenue accounting area (both functional and technical) for transition of revenue accounting process as part of PSS migration. They drive quality control and will validate that the stories delivered meet the defined acceptance criteria. Together with good commercial awareness. This role will work with the Product Manager in Finance Division to serve as the customer proxy and will support them in defining the product vision and roadmap. Structuring a variety of complex issues, the individual will use his financial and core revenue accounting knowledge find the best solutions and implement them effectively.

Accountabilities

Reporting to the Finance Product Owner as part of the PSS Project, the individual’s responsibilities are listed below: 

 

  • Responsible to support and implement the changed definition of Revenue Accounting processes, policies & business rules in the new changed Amadeus setup
  • Validate the requirements and deliverables for transition of revenue accounting modules – Sales, Uplift, Interline, refunds, Audits and Accounting
  • Manage the translation of business strategy into business requirements and user stories for prioritization
  • Conduct functional analysis for solutions/systems to ascertain that the system/solution meets the business requirements and interoperates with relevant business systems
  • Accountable business owner to communicate and coordinate with Revenue Accounting, Payments, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure all key stakeholders are aligned with migration plan and are involved with their requirements
  • Participate in reviewing developments and requirements with Amadeus business requirement teams, Product Owners, Project Managers to ensure business needs are fulfilled

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or IATA Diploma with concentration in Finance/Accounting is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of airline finance and revenue accounting experience
  • Fundamental understanding of Amadeus GDS processes
  • Airline Passenger business process and accounting knowledge
  • Fundamental understanding of SAP Functions will be advantageous
  • Knowledge on MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Recognized as an active team player, with excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Project Management skills
