Overview
Synopsis
The Finance Product Owner is responsible for transition of Revenue Accounting processes, working closely with various business process owners as part of the PSS Migration Project. In addition, the Product Owner will be responsible to support the passenger revenue accounting group in project management, portfolio project management, and business analysis functions. This role will ensure revenue accounting process changes implemented as part of the migration will meet company objectives by managing business requirements, user acceptance testing and are delivered to drive value for the business.
Accountabilities
• Responsible for managing the revenue accounting roadmap, migration plan and ensuring all milestones are met to achieve a successful migration.
• Responsible for managing internal stakeholders with primary focus on Revenue Accounting requirements, Technical set of Payment products for both Finance and Business teams and design roadmaps to ensure they are aligned with business processes
• Responsible to align all required revenue processes, payment products with Amadeus environment and assess the impact of each item in revenue accounting system and the impacted upstream/downstream systems
• Partner with IT, Business teams and subject matter experts to ensure overall program execution and addressing program needs
• Responsible for mapping & setting up process under Pax Revenue Accounting area of Sales, Flown, Incentives, Commissions, Taxes & related transactions (Tickets, Reissue, Refunds, EMD, MCO’s etc)
• Manage overall transition of Interline process as per Amadeus set up and guide processing centre to implement Interline transaction processing (SPA, Code Share, sale and uplift between Etihad and OAL) in revenue accounting system as per the set agreements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant degree
- Preferred IATA Revenue Accounting and Control Diploma – Passenger area
- Minimum 3 years of airline revenue accounting experience in supervisory/managerial role
- Fundamental understanding of Amadeus GDS processes
- Technical and business operations knowledge with proven ability to drive solutions
- Airline Passenger business process and accounting/proration knowledge
- Project management and related experience with airline Revenue accounting process
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Recognized as an active team player, with excellent communication and coordination skills as this role requires working with multiple teams across the organization
- Knowledge on MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
- Decision-making, analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
