As Distribution Specialist, you will play a key role in assuring parts and materials get the aircraft and minimizing the technicians time away from the aircraft.
This hands-on position is responsible for assisting in the implementation and consistent high performance of the distribution team.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Continuously monitor and review in stock part requests via PMR.
- Pull stock from inventory as needed to be delivered to technicians at aircraft site.
- Deliver parts and materials ordered from various outside vendors to technicians at aircraft site as soon as they are delivered the shipping department and you have verified proper paperwork, quantities and work order information is on package.
- Assist technicians at the counter with parts and materials needed from the warehouse.
- Assist the technicians in tracking orders placed for parts by communicating with the procurement team for information needed.
- Assist the technicians and procurement team by getting all hand written orders to the buyers for procurement of parts in a timely fashion.
- Communicate to the Distribution Supervisor any and all issues with on hand inventory levels in your warehouse to ensure product levels are where they need to be.
- Become familiar with parts and materials in your warehouse to more efficiently take care of the counter.
- Pull parts and put together kits in service, avionics, engineering & Elliott Technologies warehouses.
- Process all out repairs brought to you by technicians, including finding appropriate vendor, creating PO, tracking progress, maintaining communication with vendor, team lead and distribution supervisor throughout repair process on pricing, needs, delays, etc. Receive and post out repairs upon their return and deliver to the aircraft.
- Assist stores clerk by getting all part returns to them, along with appropriate and necessary paperwork as soon as possible after they’re brought to the counter
- Shipping & Receiving functions as required in certain areas.

- Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Related accounting experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- One year in inventory control and warehouse management is preferred
- Ability to attain & retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
