Synopsis

This role is responsible for the design and delivery of training, evaluation and assessment of trainees, feedback to trainees and line managers, review and update of training content and update of training records for all commercial systems training programs targeting staff, supervisors and line managers across the Etihad network, GSA/GHA network and any/all outsourced service providers using these systems – specific to the subject matter area “Airport Operations & Departure Control Systems”

Accountabilities

Design of learning content as informed by needs analysis for specific subject matter area for classroom delivery, on-the-job training, eLearning consumption or a blend of all.

Facilitate and deliver seminars, workshops and a variety of learning interventions including classroom training (face-to-face & virtual), blended learning and on-the-job coaching in order to ensure that knowledge of defined and agreed best practices & skills are transferred to the trainee effectively and as per learning objective.

Lead, facilitate and conduct evaluations and assessments that validate the effective transfer & retention of learning as a skill-set and furthermore its effective application in the workplace to help ensure increased organizational effectiveness.

Education & Experience

Minimum educational qualification of Grade-12/13 (or equivalent) + 10 years of relevant work experience OR a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) + 6 years of relevant work experience is required.
Additionally, an advanced level professional end-user skill certification on any Airport Departure Control Systems (DCS) OR an IATA certification / diploma in Airport and station management is required.

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum total of 6 years working experience in the airline / Ground Handling environment with at least 4 years as a full time guest facing check-in staff.
  • 2 years or more working experience as a supervisor or duty officer is required.
  • Experience with managing people and teams is required.
  • Any experience in training or workplace coaching will be an advantage.
