Role Summary

The Anuvu Analytics and Insights team leverages data and analytics to drive continuous improvement and provide strategic insights around current business challenges and opportunities.  We are looking for intellectually curious individuals who seek to understand process and love the challenge of transforming data into actionable insights.  Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, build recommendation systems and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products.

Location: Anywhere in the United States.

Remote Options: This role has the option to be completely remote anywhere in the United States

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
  • Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams

What We’re Looking For 

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
  • Experience in data mining and predictive analytics
  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
  • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy
  • Experience with geospatial analysis preferred
  • Great communication skills
  • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch
  • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Data-oriented personality
  • B.E./BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred
  • Open minded and flexible on mandate
  • Willingness to learn
  • Team spirit; very good communication skills,
  • Ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines; flexibility/multitasking
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, autonomy
