Synopsis

Etihad Airways Medical Centre was established in 2004 to serve employees and dependents of Etihad Aviation Group and became the first aeromedical center awarded by GCAA in UAE. Join us in our aim is to be the leader in airline medical services. We focus on employee wellbeing by offering our staff a wide range of medical services and an expert team of professional healthcare workers who are dedicated to providing quality care and personal attention, as well as service our guests through Etihad Airways inflight services.

As we continue to enhance our offering, we are excited to iexpand our Physiotherapy services and we have 2 opportunities to join the team. As an Physiotherapist, you will take great care in the diagnosis process as well as formulating and executing personalised and effective treatment plans.

Accountabilities

  1. Being caring, compassionate and patiently working with patients to diagnose, assess and treat a variety of conditions
  2. Application of treatment techniques including fields such as biomechanics, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, manual manipulations, PT in cardiorespiratory, orthopedic, neurology, encourage exercise and movement.
  3. Advising patients on leading a healthy lifestyle and keeping reports on patients and their progress
  4. Liaising with other healthcare professionals to encourage a holistic approach to treatment and
  5. Staying up to date with standards and developments in treatments
  6. Educating the patient to increase or maintain muscle strength sufficient for the patient level of functioning and occupation.
  7. Improve efficiency and safety in field of occupational therapy and office ergonomics.
  8. Develop policies and procedures, documentation for physiotherapy/occupational therapy services, participate in hospital quality program and be member of quality committees if chosen to do so, and participate in internal and external audits relating to physiotherapy/occupational therapy.  
  9. Provide timely reporting on procedural data, SLAs/KPIs that captures both volume and quality of physiotherapy services to identify and recommend areas for improvement
  10. Any other work assigned by the Head of the Dept within the scope of the job

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or higher degree in physiotherapy
  • At least 3 years of experience in provision of physiotherapy
  • Training or experience in occupational therapy would be added advantage.
